After reviewing some recent development and achievements related to Diophantine problems of the values of Riemann’s zeta function and generalized polylogarithms (not all coming from myself!), I will move the focus to π=3.1415926… and its rational approximations. Specifically, I will discuss a construction of rational approximations to the number that leads to the record irrationality measure of π.
